Editorial Policy

RunPaceKit publishes running pace calculators, charts and educational guides. This page explains how calculations are documented, how content is reviewed, and how corrections and advertising are handled.

Original calculator-first content

Our pages are built around a specific user task: calculate pace, plan splits, compare race times, convert treadmill speed, or understand a pace concept. We do not publish pages whose only value is a rewritten definition or a copied competitor table. Examples, tables and explanations are created to match the calculator on the page.

Methodology and calculation standards

Distance and time remain exact internally in meters and seconds. Display values are rounded only after calculation. Split tables use rounded cumulative times and derive each segment from the difference between adjacent cumulatives so the displayed segments add back to the target finish time. Exact conversion constants and formulas are documented on the Methodology page.

Review and updates

Calculator pages include a reviewed or updated date when a material content or calculation change is made. We review formulas, units, examples, internal links and visible limitations. When a correction is needed, the page should be updated with a clearer explanation rather than hidden by deleting the affected example.

Sources and limitations

Where a page makes a factual claim beyond arithmetic, we aim to use primary or clearly identified sources and explain the limitation. RunPaceKit does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, personal coaching or a guarantee that a target finish time is achievable. Pace scenarios are arithmetic plans affected by training, weather, course, fueling and individual health.

Corrections

Calculation errors, unclear examples, accessibility issues and factual corrections can be sent through the Contact page. Please include the page URL, the input used and what result you expected. A reproducible report is the fastest way to verify a fix.

Advertising and independence

Advertising, when enabled, does not determine calculator results, rankings or recommendations. We keep calculator inputs and results separate from ad placements. Any future affiliate or sponsored content should be identified clearly and should not change the arithmetic shown by a tool.
